Luz is a single woman who lives with her niece and nephew. Most of her life has been dedicated to working as a housekeeper, most recently for Sister Rose, who lived in Chiltiupan, El Salvador, for eleven years and helped get Santa Rosa Stitches started. As Luz was housekeeping, she would observe the Santa Rosa Stiches artisans at work. Soon, she was invited to join the group, which was very helpful as a source of income when Sister Rose returned to Cleveland. Luz enjoys creating beautiful jewelry items. She describes herself as organized, intelligent, and diligent, which is reflected in each item she makes.
